patient:
adj. 有耐心的，能容忍的
n. 病人，患者；受动者，承受者
The patient is terminally ill.
这个病人病入膏肓。
The patient is still in denial.
病人仍然拒不接受事实。
The patient made a rapid recovery.
病人很快恢复了健康。
The patient had slipped into a coma.
病人陷入昏迷状态。
patience:
n. 耐性，耐心；忍耐，容忍
My patience is wearing thin.
我要忍耐不住了。
She is renowned for her patience.
她的耐心是出了名的。
Our patience was finally rewarded.
我们的耐心最终得到了回报。
最主要是词性不同：
patient可做名词和形容词两种词性，做名词时是“病人”之意（可数）；做形容词时是"“有耐心的”的意思。例如：She is very patient with young children.（patient做形容词：耐心的）。She treats her patient patiently.（patient做名词：病人）
patience只做名词,意为“耐性,耐心”。例如：Facing the naughty boy,she lost her patience.
